They are former state minister for housing and public works Abdul Mannan Khan, Patuakhali-4 MP Mahbubur Rahman, who also was a state minister, and Cox’s Bazar-4 MP Abdur Rahman Badi.

Mahbubur Rahman served as junior minister for water resources during Awami League’s previous tenure.

They were accused of graft in separate cases filed with Ramna Police by ACC Deputy Directors Sheikh Nasiruddin, Abdus Sobhan and Khairul Huda respectively.

The move received the approval during a regular meeting of the commission on Thursday, ACC Deputy Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told bdnews24.com.

The three have been prosecuted eight months after ACC on Jan 22 decided to investigate seven politicians for abnormal increase of assets based on the affidavits they submitted to the Election Commission before the 10th general election.

The others were – former Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque, Dhaka-14 MP Md Aslamul Haque, Rajshahi-4 MP Enamul Haque and Satkhira-2 MP MA Jabbar.

All except Mannan Khan, who lost Dhaka-1 to Jatiya Party’s Salma Islam in the Jan 5 election, were present in the current Parliament.
