Shakib Al Hasan, ace Bangladeshi all-rounder, made history today after being the only third player to score a hundred and claim 10 wickets in the same Test match.

Only Imran Khan (1983) and Ian Botham (1980) had achieved the feat earlier.

Shakib scored 137 runs during Bangladesh’s first innings that helped Bangladesh amass a total of 433 against Zimbabwe in the second Test match at Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium.

During Zimbabwe’s first innings, Shakib claimed five wickets. Though he failed to shine with the bat in Bangladesh’s second innings, he clipped another five-for in Zimbabwe’s second innings.

He was awarded man of the match for his contribution that helped the Tigers seal the three-match Test series 2-0 and achieve Bangladesh’s sixth Test win.

Shakib also claimed seven wickets in the first Test match against Zimbabwe at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

The series against Zimbabwe was the first cricket opportunity for Shakib after he resurfaced following a ban imposed on him by the national cricket board for disciplinary purpose.
