The 35-year old Abdur Razzak has registered five-wicket hauls 32 times and 10-wicket hauls eight times .
Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak emerged as the first Bangladeshi to pick up 500 first-class wickets. The Bangladesh spinner bagged one scalp for Prime Bank South Zone on the third day against Walton Central Zone in the ongoing second round game of the sixth Bangladesh Cricket League Wednesday. Razzak took 113 matches to reach the landmark, his overs bowled at an economy rate of 2.87 runs.

The game resumed with Central Zone batting on 14 without loss in the first innings and riding on three half-centuries, the side posted 313 at stumps for the loss of two wickets. They still trail South Zone by 135. Openers Shadman Islam and Robiul Islam added 171 to the board before the latter was removed by Mahedi Hasan for 90. Razzak reached his 500 first-class wicket milestone after dismissing Shadman for 89. Later in the day, Raqibul Hasan and Mehrab Hossain Jr remained unbeaten on 82 and 42 respectively.

Meanwhile in the other game, aided by top-order batsman Farhad Hossain’s half-century, BCB North Zone took a 249-run lead in the second innings against Islami Bank East Zone at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Farhad added 85 to the board as North Zone at stumps on day three posted 273 losing eight wickets. Farhad’s 184-ball innings included 10 boundaries and one over boundary.

East Zone pacer Khaled Ahmed bagged four wickets.
