Members of Swadhinata Sangbadik Parishad, protesting at Pakistan and Turkey’s adverse criticism of war criminal’s execution, burn a Pakistani national flag at a rally held in front of National Press Club in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Shadhinata Shangbadik Parishad, a platform of pro-liberation journalists, on Wednesday formed a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club protesting at the reaction of Pakistan and Turkey over the execution of condemned war criminal Matiur Rahman Nizami.
Barun Chakrabarti, president of the parishad, presided over the human chain while president of Jatiya Press Club Shafiqur Rahman was present as chief guest.
At one stage, the participants of the human chain torched the flag of Pakistan.
In his speech, Shafiqur Rahman said some international media outlets such as BBC, The Guardian and The Economist termed the war criminals as Islamist leaders.
But Nizami and other four war criminals were hung for their gruesome activities and crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971, he added.
