The technical committee of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup decided to re-schedule the match timings for the upcoming games, a press release informed today.
The decision was taken considering the dew factor and foggy weather as the match timings of both the day and night games have been shifted to begin an hour early compared to the previous schedule.
According to the new match timings the toss of the first game will take place at 12 pm and the game will start from 12.30 pm instead of 1 pm. The night game which was previously scheduled from 6.30 pm will now begin from 5.30 pm with the toss taking place at 5 pm.
There have been a lot of talk since yesterday’s night game between Gemcon Khulna and Gazi Group Chattogram where the foggy weather caused serious visibility issue in the ground and it seemed difficult for the players to play in such conditions.
“We have witnessed how the weather and conditions during yesterdays’ night game was very difficult. It’s the dew and foggy weather which has been the biggest concern for us so we decided to re-schedule the match timings of both the games for the upcoming matches,” Jalal Yunus, convener of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup technical commitee told the media.
