For the first time since 2010, England will travel to Bangladesh for a short series, including two Tests and three One-Day Internationals in October. The series will kick-start with a warm-up tie in Fatullah on October 4, followed by the three ODIs and Tests.

Zimbabwe was the last team to tour Bangladesh, for ODIs and T20I in November 2015 and just T20I in January 2016. Australia were scheduled to tour the country in October last year for two Tests but opted to pull out in the eleventh hour, owing to security concerns in the country.

The tentative schedule of the series is as follows:

October 4: Warm-up one-dayer in Fatullah

October 7: First ODI in Dhaka

October 9: Second ODI in Dhaka

October 12: Third ODI in Chittagong

October 20 to 24: First Test in Chittagong

October 28 to November 2: Second Test in Dhaka
