A Bangladeshi youth was killed as the members of Indian Border Security Force opened fire along Patgram border in Lalmonirhat early Friday.

The border killing victim is Abul Kalam Daku, 20, son of late Apal Uddin of Srirampur Union under Patgram Upazila. With this, three Bangladeshis were killed in BSF firing at three places along Lalmonirhat border in past one month.

The incident took place near 848 pillar area of ​​the border.

According to police and BGB officials, a group of Bangladeshis entered Indian territory near Pillar No. 848 area of ​​Patgram border in Lalmonirhat.

Meanwhile, a team of 169 Duradavari BSF camp who were on-duty at the Indian border fired targeting the Bangladeshis and Kalam received a bullet, they said.

They said that Abul Kalam died on way to Patgram Upazila Health Complex in Bangladesh by his associates.

Officer-in-charge of Patgram police station , Md Abu Saeed Chowdhury, said that one person was shot along the border of ​​Srirampur Union under Patgram.

‘He died on way to the Patgram Upazila Health Complex,’ he said.
