Bangladesh drew 1-1 with a ten-man Tajikistan in the FIFA World Cup group B qualifier at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday evening, reports Prothom Alo.
Bangladesh started lively pushing Tajikistan into their own zone in the initial minutes.
The hosts won a series of corners, among them the second in the 12th minute curved by skipper Mamunul Islam from the right hand flag was punched to safety by Tajik goalie Alysher Tuychev, according to the website of Bangladesh Football Federation.

In the 60th minute Dehallov Manuchehr’s header on a cross of Vasiev Dilshov flew past the Bangladesh side-post.
Tajikistan was reduced to ten men in the 68th minute with the sent-off of defender Ashrorov Siyovush fouled Hemanta Vincent and Korean referee Lee Min Hu flashed the second yellow card to the tall defender.
Tajikistan equalised in the 87th minute when with Fathluoev Fathullo fired a free kick into the top left corner of Russell Mahmud Liton’s post from 20 yards out (1-1)
Bangladesh lost to Kyrgyzstan 1-3 on June 11.
