The PM requests her UAE counterpart to remove the barriers to recruitment of Bangladeshi workers by the oil-rich Gulf nation
Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed three agreements to boost cooperation in different fields between the two countries.
The three deals are: the agreement on security cooperation between the government of the United Arab Emirates and the government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the agreement on transfer of sentenced prisoners and the agreement on handing over land for construction of the UAE Embassy in Dhaka.
The deals were signed after a meeting between visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Monday, reports BSS.
The first two agreements were signed by State Minister for Home of Bangladesh Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and UAE Minister of Interior Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the third one was penned between Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
