86.97pc pass JSC, JDC

97.35pc primary, 92.45 pc Ebtedayee

A total of 86.97 percent students have passed this year’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations.

Meanwhile, the results of Primary Education Terminal and Ebtedayee (madrasa) Terminal examinations also came out on Thursday with a pass percentage of 97.35 and 92.45 respectively.

The pass rate is 86.11percent in JSC and 90.87 percent in JDC exams.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid announced the JSC and JDC results at a press briefing at his ministry around noon.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr Afsarul Ameen announced the result of Primary and Ebtedayee terminal examinations in the morning at his office.

Earlier in the morning, Nahid and Afsarul handed over the copy of the results to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

JSC & JDC

The pass rate of JSC and JDC examinations in the eight boards are: Dhaka 85.02; Chittagong 78.35; Rajshahi 85.09; Comilla 91.86; Jessore 85.28; Sylhet 90.45; Barisal 93.82 and Dinajpur 84.88.

A total of 44,158 students obtained GPA-5 in JSC exams while 2,784 students secured GPA-5 in JDC exams.

A total of 1,2,98,188 students came out successfully among the 15, 07,675 students who had sit for the examinations.

In the JDC examinations, a total of 3, 34,051 students appeared and of them 3,03,562 students passed.

Rajuk Uttara Model School and College secured the top position in the country while Viqarunnesa Noon School stood second followed by Mymensingh Zilla School.

The male students succeeded better than female students in the JSC and JDC exams.

The pass rates of male and female students in JSC and JDC exams are 88.01 and 86.04 percent.

PRIMARY & EBTEDAYEE

Manipur High School in Dhaka secured top position while National Ideal School stood second followed by Viqarunnisa Noon School in the primary examinations result.

The number of GPA-5 achiever primary students are 2, 30,220. A total of 2,920 students obtained GPA-5 in Ebtedayee examinations.
