As many as 536 dengue patients have been detected between January and 6 July this year, according to DGHS.
However, the Director General of Health Services (DGHS) has so far no record of deaths from dengue during the period.
The DGHS made the disclosure at a regular bulletin on Wednesday.
Health directorate spokesman professor Nazmul Islam in the bulletin said rain water is accumulated and as result Aedes mosquitos, carriers of dengue, are increasing.
He said attention is being paid to the coronavirus. But there is no scope to ignore dengue cases, the official said adding everyone needs to be cautious.
