The government has cancelled the certificates of 39 government officials and employees
The Ministry for Liberation War Affairs has cancelled counterfeit freedom fighter certificates of 39 government officials and employees, what a gazette said.
The officials and employees were proved imposters after an investigation of the department of National Security Intelligence (NSI), the April 6 gazette said.
It was also proved that those officers and employees, who had taken temporary freedom fighter certificates, were not real freedom fighters at all.
The individuals are former district judge Sadikur Rahman Talukder, Raipur’s Sub-Registrar’s Office assistant Golam Mostafa, LGED project director Ataur Rahman Khan, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank Deputy Manager Abul Kashem and Bangladesh Krishi Bank Principal Officer Sheikh Jan Mohammad.
The other impostors are rural electrification board Director SM Saidur Rahman Chowdhury, Mongla Port Authority senior outdoor assistant Shahabuddin Chowdhury and BIWTA auto gage operator Sadek Ali, Ohiduzzaman Ahad and senior public servant AKM Mirza Alam.
Certificates of ex-District Food Controller of Gazipur Mojibar Rahman, and Kishoreganj Sadar’s Altabur Rahman, Magura Auditor Md Moksed Ali, Chittagong Customs House Assistant Commissioner Kazi Abdul Basit, KPCL’s former senior clerk Kohinur Miah were also cancelled.
Former public servant Sheikh Mohammad Rawshan Ali, fisheries officer Zoarder Anwarul Haque, office assistant of Bhola small irrigation project Mosharef Hossain, Bangabandhu hall employee of Agriculture University of Mymensingh Mofizul Islam, office assistant of Chittagong regional labour office Tazul Islam Khan, Public Works Department’s work assistant Nazrul Islam, assistant Foreman Jainal Abedin and Administrative Officer of small irrigation project of Barishal Amir Hossain were also found imposters.
The authority also cancelled certificates of Faridpur Nagarkanda’s assistant teacher SM Iman Uddin, Bangladesh Railway’s Abdul Kaiyum Amin, Dinajpur Chirir Bandar’s headmaster Debendra Nath Roy, Netrokona Purbodhola’s head master Siraz Miah, head master of Chandpur Faridganj Sirazul Islam, former police sub-inspectors Soaliman Ali, Shamsur Rahman, Constable Amir Ali, Havildar Bablu, Khagrachari Ramgarh’s Shah Md. Waliullah, Barguna Betagi’s Abdul Aziz, Khulna Kaira’s Abdul Malek and Jamalpur Dewanganj’s Abdul Aziz.
