The Investigation Agency of the International Crimes Tribunal on Sunday said it is collecting information and evidences of war crimes committed by 195 Pakistanis during war of independence in 1971.
‘Alongside local war criminals are collecting information and evidences of war crimes by 195 Pakistanis. We would start formal investigation upon getting government’s nod or the ground is created,’ said the agency chief coordinator Md Abdul Hannan Khan at a news conference.
The agency arranged the news conference on finalising charges against six Gaibandha war crimes suspects.
The agency finalized three charges against former Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker Abdul Aziz, Md Ruhul Amin, M Abdul Latif, Abu Moslem Mohammad Ali, Nazmul Huda and M Abdur Rahim Mia for committing killing, genocide and loot during war of independence.
