Police have identified the number of the vehicle which was used to abduct Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Bela chief Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
Narayanganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Syeed Nurul Islam disclosed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Thursday morning.
He said: “The number of the car is Chittagong Metro Ga-17-8327, according to the still pictures of the footage found in the close circuit (CC) camera on the Polashi end of Jatrabari flyover.”

The SP said: “The vehicle was going towards Dhaka city with abducted Abu Bakar Siddique. The footage showed that the vehicle crossed the flyover around 2:53pm [Wednesday].”
He said: “Siddique was abducted sometime around 2:45pm while he was returning from Hamid Fashions in Fatullah to Dhaka. He worked as the executive officer in the factory.”
