PM meets president, reaffirms stance against terrorism

President Abdul Hamid and prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday strongly denounced Paris attacks with the prime minister reaffirming her government’s strong stance against terrorism.
The prime minister came up with the resolve against terrorism when she made a courtesy call on president Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
On Friday, 129 people were killed in terror attacks on bars and restaurants, a concert hall and the Stade de France stadium.
During the meeting, the prime minister apprised the president of her recent visits to the Netherlands and the USA, Sheikh Hasina went to the Netherlands on November 3 at the invitation of her Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte. She visited the USA in September to attend 70th United Nations General Assembly.
Earlier, on her arrival at Bangabhaban, the prime minister was received by president Abdul Hamid.
Secretaries and high officials of both the president and prime minister’s offices were present.
