PM joins milad, doa mahfil marking Wazed Miah’s 5th death anniversary

 A milad and doa mahfil was held at Sudha Sadan, the residence of late Dr MA Wazed Miah, an eminent nuclear scientist and husband of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, after Asr prayers on Friday on the occasion of the fifth death anniversary of Wazed Miah.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, attended the milad and doa mahfil.

Besides, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, cabinet ministers, parliament members, central leaders of Bangladesh Awami League and its associate bodies, family members, relatives, well-wishers and neighbours of late Wazed Miah joined the milad and doa mahfil.

Those who attended the milad and doa mahfil included State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, former state minister Advocate Shamsul Hoque Tuku, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh MP, AL Religious Affairs secretary Sheikh Md Abdullah, office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Jubo League chairman Alhaj Omar Faruq Chowdhury, Aslamul Hoque MP, and AL leader Sheikh Jewel.

A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Wazed Miah.

Munajat was also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity for the nation.
