Manager and cashier of Sonali Bank of Adamdighi branch of Bogra have been suspended on Monday over the burglary issue.
The suspended officials are manager Samsuddin Sharif and cashier Azahar Ali.
Deputy General Manager of Sonali Bank, Abdus Salam, has told the Dhaka Tribune.
The probe committee formed to investigate into the burglary has also ordered to submit its report within the next 5 working days, he said.
A Bogra court has granted five-day remand to eight suspects in Sonali Bank burglary case.
A Judicial Magistrate Court granted the remand when the Investigation Officer of the case Zohirul Hoque produced them before the court with a 10-day remand plea on Monday afternoon.
Of the accused, four are members of Ansar and another is Ashraful Islam, the owner of a furniture shop adjacent to the bank.
About Tk32.5 lakh was stolen from Sonali Bank’s Adamdighi branch in Bogra on Saturday.
Burglars dug a tunnel from a nearby furniture shop to reach the vault of the bank.
