আবু জাফর মাহমুদ : নিউইয়র্ক থেকে : ইলিয়াস আলী ও আনসারী কে মেরে পুড়েছে ফরিদপুর গোয়ালন্দ ঘাটে বিশাল বেশ্যা পল্লী(নিষিদ্ধ পল্লী)র পেছনে নদীর দিকে নেমে যাওয়া ঢালুয় ছাপড়া ঘরে। ১৮ এপ্রিল ভোর সাড়ে ৪টায় ঘাতকরা তাদের এ কাজ শেষ করে। পর পর বিদেশী দুটি প্রভাবশালী গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা এ তথ্য দেবার পর পর সরেজমিনে খোঁজ খবর নিয়ে নিশ্চিত করেছে আমাদের নিজস্ব অনুসন্ধানীরা।
সাবেক সাংসদ এবং সাহসী রাজনীতিক ইলিয়াস আলী ও তার গাড়ীর চালককে মেরে পুড়তে নাইট্রিক এসিড প্রয়োগ করেছিলো।তাদেরকে ঢাকা হতে তুলে নিয়ে ফরিদপুরের গোয়ালন্দ ঘাটের দিকে পূর্ব পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী দ্রুতবেগে ছুটে যায়।পরিকল্পনা এবং প্রস্তুতি নিশ্ছিদ্র থাকায় অভিজ্ঞ ঘাতকরা পথে কোন দেরী করেনি। ঠান্ডা মাথায় সোজা পৌঁছে যায় গন্তব্যে। পোড়ার কাজেও সময় বেশী ব্যয় করেনি। বাহিরের কেউ যাতে দেখতে না পায় সে ব্যাপারে তারা ছিলো মনোযোগী। তাই দেহের পুড়তে বাকী থাকা কিছু হাড্ডি সহ ইলিয়াস এবং আনসারীর সাথে থাকা যাবতীয় জিনিষপত্র নিকটস্থ পদ্মা নদীতে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিয়ে এসাইনমেন্ট মিশন সম্পন্ন করেছিলো বাহিনী সদস্যরা।
তাই বর্তমান সরকার বা কারো পক্ষে ইলিয়াস আলী এবং আনসারীকে হাজির করা আর কখনও সম্ভব নয়। এই দুইজন মানুষকে দুনিয়াই কেউ কখনো দেখতে পাবেনা।যদিও সরকার কৌশল অব্যাহত রেখেছে কালক্ষেপনের এবং অন্য ঘটনা ঘটিয়ে রাজনৈতিক নতুন বিতর্ক সাজানোয়। ক্ষমতাধর গোয়েন্দা সংস্থাগুলোর এহেন কিলিং স্কোয়াডের অপারেশন সম্পর্কে মানষিক প্রস্তুতির অভাব আছে চিন্তাশীল সমাজে। তাই, তাদেরকে জীবিত পাওয়ার আশা নিয়ে সংবাদ মাধ্যমে এখনো যে সব তৈরী গল্প প্রচার চলছে,তার অনেক কদর এখনও চলছে পাঠক সমাজে। পাঠকের এই মনস্তাত্ত্বিক অবস্থাকে পুঁজি করে সংবাদ বাণিজ্যও চলছে ব্যাপকভাবে।
বিএনপির কেন্দ্রীয় সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক এবং সিলেট সীমান্তে ভারতীয় আগ্রাসনে অতীষ্ঠ গ্রামবাসীদের প্রতিরোধ আন্দোলনের প্রধান নেতা ইলিয়াস আলীকে গুম করার ঘটনাসহ চলমান পরিস্থিতিতে উদ্বেক প্রকাশ করে একে “ডিষ্টারবিং” বলে এক ক্ষুদ্ধ মন্তব্য করেছেন আমেরিকার ষ্টেট ডিপার্টমেন্টের দক্ষিণ এবং মধ্য এশিয়াবিষয়ক আন্ডার সেক্রেটারী রবার্ট ব্লেইক। তিনি উল্লেখ করেছেন, “বাংলাদেশে যা ইচ্ছে তা করার ঘটনা প্রত্যাশিত নয়”। তিনি একথাও বলেন, “মার্কিণ দুতাবাস কে নিবিড় পর্যবেক্ষণে থাকার নির্দ্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে”। বিএনপি নেতা ড. উসমান ফারুকের লেখা চিঠির প্রত্যুত্তরে মিঃ ব্লেইক এজবাব দেন।
এদিকে কূটনৈতিক সূত্র থেকে ইঙ্গিত দেয়া হয়েছে,ঢাকার বারিধারায় সৌদি কূটনীতিক হত্যার ব্যাপারে বিদেশী কূটনীতিকদের সন্দেহের আঙ্গুল ফিরেছে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের দিকে। এমতাবস্থায় সৌদি আরব তার সাধ্য অনুযায়ী করণীয় ভূমিকা পালন করবার সিদ্ধান্তে পৌঁচেছে বলে তাৎপর্যময় আভাষ পাওয়া গেছে। এমতাবস্থায় সরকারের উপর বিগড়ে যাওয়া আমেরিকা-ইওরোপের সাথে সৌদি আরব সহ একটি বিশাল বলয় খাড়া হবার একটা ছক স্পষ্ট হয়েছে বলা যায়।
বিএনপির কেন্দ্রীয় সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক ইলিয়াস আলী ও তার গাড়ীর চালক আনসারীকে গুম করার ঘটনার প্রেক্ষিতে বিএনপির প্রতি সাধারণ মানুষের সহানুভুতি বাড়ছে। মানুষ রাজনীতি এবং গণতন্ত্রের অপব্যাবহার করে মানবতা বিপন্ন করার নিষ্ঠুরতা চ্যালেঞ্জে নামছেন দেশে-বিদেশে।
তবে সিলেটের এই রাজনীতিবিদ গুম হওয়ার পর তার নিজ উপজেলা বিশ্বনাথে গণ মানুষের ক্রোধ ফেটে পড়তে দেখা যায়। এখানে ক্ষুদ্ধ জনতা প্রাণ হারিয়েছে পুলিশের গুলিতে এবং পুলিশও মারা গেছে বলে খবর পাওয়া গেছে। তবে এই জনতা-পুলিশের যুদ্ধে আহতের সংখ্যা তিন শতাধিক বলে অনুমান করা হচ্ছে।এতে বিরোধী দল বিএনপিকে সরকারের কঠোর নীতির শক্ত জবাবের জন্য বুক এগিয়ে পথে দেখতে চায় এই বেপরোয়া জনগণ।যাতে সরকার বনাম বিরোধী দল মুখোমুখী লড়াই চলবার আলামত ষ্পষ্ঠ হয়ে উঠেছে।
তবে বিএনপির অনেকে আরও নরম থাকার মত প্রকাশ করে চলেছেন বলে জানা গেছে। তেমন পরিস্থিতিতে বিএনপির হার্ডলাইনার এবং গণঅভ্যুত্থানপন্থী এক নতুন রাজনৈতিক শক্তির উদ্ভব হবার বিষয়টিও সামনে এসে যেতে পারে। তাতে করে বিএনপি চাপের মুখে হয়তো সরকারের সাথে একধরনের আপোষ করবে অথবা সরকার পতনের প্রত্যক্ষ আন্দোলনে যাবে। পর্যবেক্ষকরা জোর দিয়ে বলছেন এক চরম সহিংসতার দিকে ছুটে চলেছে বাংলাদেশ।

When would our people wake up to the reality that the sovereign power of BD state is now exercised from Delhi through a network of RAW agents operating in different state organs, media outlets, other places?
The opposition political parties are busy mainly to ‘protect’ their top leaders from jail or death, but they are not launching any serious campaigns and movements to uphold the national interests against the Indian imperialists with connivance of the US neo-cons.
Sorry for a mistake in the above comment. Patrice Lubumba was the leader of Congo, not of Ghana. He was one of the first generation African leaders who fought for independence of their countries against European colonialists in the 1950s and 1960s. The country was and still is full of minerals (specially copper, zinc, etc) and other natural resources, that is why it has been a battleground for different agencies and mercenaries let loose by foreign powers. The country suffered brutal civil wars for a long period of time.
There are many reports to suggest that while the Belgian colonialists were in the lead role to eliminate Patrice Lubumba and install a puppet regime in Congo, they were actively supported by the British, American and French governments and intelligence agencies.

Those who want to live in an independent and sovereign Bangladesh state should learn a little bit more about the anti-colonial struggles in Africa , Asia and Latin America to understand that the same wars are still going on in different parts of the world specially in the Muslim countries in a different format and on different excuses. But the essence is the same. Those who strongly oppose the domination and interventions (economic, strategic, cultural) in their countries by local of foreign hegemons and imperialists (and their local agents), become targets of vilification, threats, and, when necessary, of ‘physical elimination’ by ‘faceless assassins’.
Ilias Ali had to be physically eliminated by the enemies of Bangladesh because he was the strongest voice in the Sylhet region against the Indian hegemonic aggression.
These are dangerous allegations. None of us know the exact truth. Neither is the government telling us the truth and in the absence of any truthful investigation of the case that the government has shown little or no interest to engage in, it simply raises the speculation of its possible culpability in the crime. This is most tragic – a nation is truly cursed when its mentor becomes its tormentor!
A horrifying story indeed! And if this is fact, the govt must be answerable to the general public. But one thing is very significant and that is, in spite of our PM’s promise to the family of Ilyas Ali, especially the way she fondled Ilyas Ali’s daughter, nothing hopeful has so far happened. Is this then a real truth that Ilyas Ali has been evaporated by RAW with the green signal of our govt or the opposite? If that’s the case, are we still independent or a protectorate?
