Covid-19 claims 88, infects 3,629 more in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 88 Covid-19 deaths and 3,629 infections in the past 24 hours on Thursday counting the death toll to 10,869 and infections to 739,703 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services handout came up with the latest Covid-19 update.

Among the deceased, 62 were male 26 female patients.

Some 25,896 specimens were tested in the timeline at 349 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 5,303,008 specimens as of April 23.

A total of 5,225 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 647,674.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first Covid-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
