Stock investors, especially those who are young and fond of technology, want the online trade floor open to ensure participation of investors using communication devices like mobile phone, tab and ipad.

While talking to the Dhaka Tribune yesterday, the visitors at the CSE internet trade fair shared the demands and views.
Chittagong Stock Exchange organised the two-day fair which concluded in Dhaka yesterday.
The fair was aimed at attracting investors and increasing their participation into the stock market.
“As a service holder, it is quiet impossible for me to attend trading floor to sell or buy stocks at desired prices,” said Tonmoy Chowdhury, an officer at a commercial bank.
If the CSE and DSE jointly make it possible to trade on real time through internet services using mobile phone or tab, it help increase participation in the stock markets, he said.
Md Riazul Karim Khan, an official of IDLC Securities, said most of the participants were less than 30 years old and they were mostly students and young professionals.
“All of them wanted to know how they could run business through online trading,” he said.
Riazul Karim said investors who came to the expo have a knowledge on stock business, but they do not know how to trade just staying at home through mobile phones, tab and ipads.
“From our side, we provided all kinds of support, and they were happy,” he claimed.
Busy professionals including doctors, engineers were seen in the fair. Besides, the people aged over 50 years also paid a visit to the event to learn about online trading process.
On the other hand, some visitors were looking for special offers like low trading charge.
“I am a retired man from job and now involved with share business to earn some. But I always can not participate in the floor. So, I want to know how to trade online,” said Aminul Islam, a visitor.
He said if the exchanges arrange training for making the process easier to the investors, it would be helpful for both the market and the investors.
CSE introduced Internet Trading System on 30th May 2004. Later on October 20, 2011, it upgraded the Internet Trading System with the introduction of Next Generation Trading System (NGTS).
The Internet Trading System of CSE is a real online-based trading application which is directly integrated with the main trading engine.
On June 10, 2012, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) launched an internet-based platform for share transactions using a web-based trading software Members’ Server Application (MSA) Plus.
