Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Thursday said Tarique Rahman will be the country’s Prime Minister if BNP returns to power.
“What if BNP comes to power! Tarique Zia will be the Prime Minister,” he said while addressing the Laxmipur district council of Jatiya Party at Nasir Ahmed Bhuiyan Auditorium in the town.
Ershad also noted that if Tarique enjoys the premiership, a number of Hawa Bhabans will be created across the country and the incidents of enforced disappearance and killing will take place.
“People are afraid of Tarique Zia. Even a mention of him curdles up their blood,” said the Jatiya Party chair.
The council was held with Jatiya Party district unit convener and member of parliament M Noman in the chair.
