Body found in Padma may be Gazipur murder suspect: police

Naval Police have recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified person from the Padma River in Munshiganj’s Louhajang Upazila.

Additional Superintendent of Police Md Asaduzzaman of Gazipur’s Kapasia and Kaliganj Circle disclosed the information on Saturday evening.

Gazipur district police suspect the body may belong to Forkan Molla, the prime suspect in the Kapasia quintuple murder case.

Authorities noted that a definitive identification will only be possible following DNA testing.

The development follows the discovery of five throat-slit bodies by police in Kapasia’s Rautkona village on May 9.
