Tajikistani Singer Noziyai Karamatullo is singing in the tune of Bangla song “ভ্রমর কইও গিয়া” (Bhromor Koio Giya)

Her father Karomatullo Qurbonov,a popular pop singer and composer was murdered along with a number of her band members on October 17, 1992 by gunmen from th…e Popular Front militia when Civil War broke out after Soviet Union collapsed, and Tajikistan declared its independence.

Tajikistan suffered from a devastating civil war after independence, which lasted from 1992 to 1997.

Noziyai Karamatullo’s father Qurbonov was one of a number of intellectual and cultural figures murdered during this Civil War.
Tajikistan is a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia. It borders Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and China to the east.
Mountains cover more than 90% of the republic.

Most of Tajikistan’s population belongs to the Persian-speaking Tajik ethnic group, who share language, culture and history with Afghanistan and Iran
