Police takes Bangladesh Nationalist Party senior joint secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi to jail on a Dhaka court order after he surrendered before the court in five cases.
A Dhaka court on Thursday sent Bangladesh Nationalist Party senior joint secretary-general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi to jail in five cases of violence filed with different police stations.
Judge of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order rejecting his bail petitions after Rizvi surrendered before the court this morning following court order of arrest warrant.
The cases were filed with five police stations including Mirpur, Paltan and Darus Salam during the countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led alliance in 2015.
