“The Prime Minister had earlier relinquished the post of BCL’s adviser due to the untoward activities of the students’ body. This time, she might not be able to live in the country because of it,” senior BNP leader Rafiqul Islam Miah told a party event on Monday. He accused the government of resorting to ‘state-terrorism’ by filing false cases against opposition activists.
“A total of 7,153 cases against Awami League activists, including the prime minister, have been withdrawn. Terrorists, corrupt people, women oppressor, including death row convicts were named in those cases. They are now roaming free,” said the BNP Standing Committee member.
