No report of Bangladeshi victims in Turkey coup yet

There has been no report of any Bangladeshi victims so far in the ongoing crisis in Turkey after the failed coup, say the Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara and the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Istanbul.

On Saturday, following the coup situation, the Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara issued an advisory for the Bangladeshi nationals living in Turkey.

The advisory reads, “In view of the unfolding developments in Turkey, particularly since July 15, all the Bangladeshi nationals in Turkey are hereby requested to please restrict their movements and avoid public places.”

The embassy also requested the Bangladeshi nationals in Turkey to contact them or the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Istanbul for any kind of assistance.
