Bangladesh cricket team veteran and current One-Day International captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has bought a nomination form to contest, on behalf of Awami League, in the upcoming 11th general election.
The fan favourite sportsman picked up the papers from Awami League’s Dhanmondi office around 11:45am on Sunday.
Mashrafe met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban and received her blessing before picking up the form.
Awami League assistant office secretary Biplob Barua confirmed the matter.
