BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia visited ailing Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) President Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Tuesday night.
BDB secretary general Major (retd) Abdul Mannan and joint secretary general Mahi B Chowdhury received Khaleda as she reached B Chowfhury’s Baridhara residence around 8:12pm.
The BNP chief stayed there for nearly an hour and enquired about the health condition of the BDB chief.
B Chowdhury has been suffering from various diseases for the last few days and undergoing treatment at his residence under specialized physicians.
Khaleda, also the former premier, visited the residence of B Chowdhury, an ex-president and founding secretary general of BNP, for the first since he quit BNP.
A close associate of BNP’s founder late president Ziaur Rahman, and its founding secretary general, B Chowdhury floated Bikolpodhara Bangladesh with some mid-ranking BNP leaders after quitting BNP in 2004.
