BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will sit with her party’s standing committee members on Thursday night.
The meeting is scheduled to start at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office around 8pm on Thursday, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said.
The country’s latest political situation and the party’s organisational activities are among the agenda of the meeting, he said.
Khaleda is going to sit with her party policymakers after nearly two months as the last meeting of the standing committee was held on November 7.

BNP should follow “spirit of independence” i.e. democracy, independent Bengali Muslim nationalism. a) Why Democracy ? – Because, in 1970, Pakistanis denied to accept result of election and did not hand over power to Sheikh Mujib. This was anti-democracy and we started to fight for independence. b) Why independent Bengali Muslim nationalize ? – Because, – We fought to be independent (not to change bosses from Pindi to Delhi). We speak bangla and we are Muslim majority (90% are Muslim). This is so simple and natural. All BNP members need to understand this simple truth and believe it strongly.
