Hunt down attackers of minorities: Nasim

Awami League presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Wednesday urged the law-enforcement agencies to immediately hunt down those who attacked minority communities.

“Not only Jamaat-BNP men, if any other people are involved in the attacks will have to be arrested,” he said.

Nasim, also a former home minister, said this while addressing a joint meeting of the city unit of Awami League-led 14-party at its office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.

Mentioning that the people of the country have re-elected AL, Nasim, also the 14-party spokesperson said, “The outgoing Awami League government had many lacks. But we shouldn’t repeat those in the future as people will examine us through microscope. So we have to be conscious so that no one can raise question.”

Nasim urged the 14-party leaders and activists to stand beside the minorities saying BNP-Jamaat wants to create anarchy in the country by carrying out attacks on minorities in various parts of the country.

AL organising secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, among others, spoke at the programme held with Awami League Dhaka city unit general secretary Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya in the chair.
