“BNP and Jamaat are still waiting in ambush. The Hefajat men went on the rampage in the city on Sunday with the help of BNP and Jamaat,” he said while addressing an emergency meeting of Awami League Dhaka city unit at its central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
Nasim claimed that the Hefajat men carried out massacre soon after BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia asked her party men to assist Hefajat.
Observing that country’s people would not forgive extremist Hefajat for unleashing atrocities, he said, “We’ll protect Quran and Sunnah as we’re a constitutional government.”
The Awami League leader also observed that country’s people are not still safe from the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat though Hefajat left Dhaka.
He, however, said a situation like August 15 and August 21 would not be allowed to happen again. “The 1/11-like political changeover wouldn’t be back again.”
