Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia exchanged Eid greetings on Sunday.
Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated on October 16.
Prime minister’s protocol officer SK Akhter Hossain handed over Hasina’s Eid card to Khaleda’s assistant personal secretary M Suratuzzaman at the latter’s parliament office around 1:00pm, said Sayrul Kabir Khan, an official of BNP chairperson’s press wing.
Later, Suratuzzaman handed over the Eid card of opposition chief to the premiere’s protocol officer Akhter around 1:30pm, Sayrul added.
