BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia yesterday said people want change in the country as they are repressed by the government’s “misdeeds and misrules”.

The former premier alleged that the incumbent government had broken all previous records of corruption, killing and abduction.

“A frightening situation because of killings and abductions is prevailing in the country. People want to be rid of such situations. To overcome this, change is a must. Everyone has to be united burying all differences and petty interests,” she said.

“We will certainly bring changes in the country and establish good governance,” the BNP chief said this after unveiling a book Akutobhoy Deshnayek on party’s senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman at her Gulshan office in the capital.
