“BNP alliance believes in talks”

BNP-led 20-party alliance only believed in discussion, dialogue and negotiation to end ongoing political turmoil in the country.

BNP joint secretary general Salah Uddin Ahmed made the remark in a statement through email on Friday (March 6) afternoon.

Salah Uddin Ahmed said, “We welcomed the initiatives of United Nations and others international bodies to bring an end to political crisis here. People hope the government would not make late to understand it, otherwise liability for risen situation will goes to the government.”

He also alleged in the statement that Awami League government has been continuously cheating with people assuming the power illegally through a farce of January 5 polls, which is politically, constitutionally and democratically unacceptable.

Awami League government never believed in democracy, rather they killed it and reforming as Bakshal gradually, he also alleged.

The senior BNP leader also blamed law enforcers for carrying out extra judicial killings and bid to form law to save them from liability.

He also condemned the bomb attack on residence of BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam in Jessore.
