AL Dhaka-3 candidate Nasrul visits injured Goyeshwar

Awami League candidate for Dhaka-3 constituency Nasrul Hamid Bipu today visited rival BNP contestant Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, who was injured in an attack yesterday.

Bipu went to Nayapaltan office to visit  Goyeshwar Chandra Roy around 11:30am.

WHAT DID GOYESHWAR SAY ABOUT THE ATTACK?

The attack was launched by overzealous activists and detective branch members to mar the election atmosphere, Goyeshwar told The Daily Star today after Bipu left the office.

Goyeshwar further said that no case will be filed in connection with the attack as he looks forward to working with everyone after the elections.

“This kind of attack is unexpected,” said Bipu.

He hopes that law enforcers will take action against the perpetrator regardless of who they are. “We are ashamed by this incident,” he added.
