A Dhaka court on Tuesday issued a warrant for the arrest of three officials of non-governmental organisation Proshika in a fraudulence case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque passed the order following pleas filed by the lawyers of the complainant.
The accused are Proshika executive director Kazi Khazi Alam, director Altaf Hossain and deputy director Alamgir Hossain.
Quamrul Islam, former computer operator of the NGO, filed the case against the three Proshika officials with Rupnagar Police Station in the city on September 11 last year.
According to the case statement, Quamrul went on retirement from the organisation on September 27, 2011 due to his physical inability.
Although he was supposed to get Tk 1.45 lakh from the NGO during the retirement, Proshika provided him only Tk 50,000.
Police submitted the probe report on January 23 this year.
