Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on Friday said the Khaleda-led BNP has now become the main anti-liberation party.
The Awami League leader made the statement while addressing a programme at the Suhrawardy Udyan marking the Homecoming Day of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“Jamaat is not the only an anti-liberation party, the Khaleda-led BNP has become the main anti-liberation party,” said Ashraf.
“Under Khaleda Zia’s leadership, the anti-liberation forces are conspiring to disrupt the country’s democratic progress,” he added.
The Awami League rally was held after the party won an absolute majority in the 10th parliamentary elections.
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina addressed the rally with party Presidium Member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury presiding over it.
