DHAKA: Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has postponed its scheduled Dhaka rally slated for Tuesday as it failed to get permission from the authorities concerned.
Hefazat nayeb-e-ameer and Dhaka city unit convener Noor Hossain Kashemi on Monday announced the postponement of its rally at a press briefing at Jamia Madania Madrasa in Baridhara.
Earlier in the morning, police stopped Hefazat-e-Islam ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi and its secretary general Junaid Babunagari at Hathazari in Chittagong when they started for the capital.
On November 24, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh announced to hold a rally at a press briefing at Al-Jamiatul Alia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam Madrasah at Hathazari in Chittagong at the capital’s Shapla Chattar on December 24.
