A treasury bench member on Wednesday said in Parliament that people will put BNP chief Khaleda Zia in ‘bracket’ for ever in the next elections as they do not see any alternative to Bangladesh Awami League.
Taking part in budget discussion, AL MP Tarana Halim said progressive people, freedom fighters, their family members and those who support the trial of war crimes will not vote for BNP, Jamaat and Hefajat.
“BNP, Jamaat, and Hefajat will not get any vote from women either,” Tarana Halim said.
She said BNP is the champion in spreading propaganda and distorting facts and present half-truth. Half-truth is more dangerous than any lie. They (BNP-Jamaat) prepare a peculiar saline with half-truth and distorted facts and serve it to people.”
Tarana Halim said they came across the money laundering matter through (BNP senior vice chairman) Tarique Rahman.
She said Bangladesh’s economy is growing and that is the reason for which people will vote again for Awami League.
Meanwhile, BNP MP Lutfur Rahman Kajal, Cox’s Bazar-3, said BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman will return to Bangladesh as a hero and will lead the oust-govt movement.
“It’s not necessary to bring him back home through the Interpol,” Kajal said while taking part in the budget discussion.
Earlier, opposition MP Rasheda Begum Hira (Women Seat-39) alleged that Debashing Gong (Juba League) set Al Quran on fire. “Forget about Hefajat, no Muslim can dare to set Quran on fire.”
She also alleged that Awami miscreants were responsible for the Ramu incident and Biswajit killing.
