Pickets vandalised about 15 vehicles on different roads of Bogra district town during the daylong nationwide hartal called by the BNP-led 18-party alliance today (Wednesday) morning.
Bogra Sadar upazila unit BNP president Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel said separate processions were brought out by leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, Juba Dal and BNP in Gokul, Baghopara and near Mohastan Garh Bridge area of the district in the morning.
Witnesses said pickets vandalised about 15 vehicles as their drivers tried to run those on the roads ignoring the strike in the morning.
The 18-party alliance enforced the shutdown demanding withdrawal of all the ‘false’ cases filed against BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman.
