File case against Khaleda for hartal killings: Khasru

Senior treasury bench member Abdul Matin Khasru on Monday suggested that the government file a case against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia as the main accused for the killing of 16 people across the country in hartal violence.

Standing on a point of order in the House, he said the killings could have been averted if Khaleda had accepted the invitation to dialogue withdrawing the hartal.

Matin Khasru also wanted to know what steps the government has taken after the killings across the country.

He also criticised the opposition for hurling bombs at the residences of judges and ministers and demanded installation of CCTVs for the safety and security of the judges.
