A 12-year-old girl was raped at her sister’s residence in Mirpur on Saturday. The son of their landlord allegedly raped her. Police said they had arrested Polash, 40, the accused and sent the victim to DMCH for examination. Police also said finding the girl alone, Polash broke in, tied her hands up and put a cloth in her mouth. The girl managed to spit out the cloth and shouted for help. Hearing her scream, neighbours rescued her and handed Polash over to police, said Mirpur SI Afzal Hossain.
