A food court in Dhaka has recently issued a warrant for the arrest of popular content creator Iftikhar Rafsan, better known as Rafsan the ChotoBhai, allegedly for unauthorised production, marketing and sale of electrolyte drink named ‘BLU’.
Judge Alaul Akbar of the court passed the order on June 4 following a case filed by the Dhaka South City Corporation food safety inspector Kamrul Hasan on the same day.
The DSCC public relation officer Abu Naser confirmed the news on Thursday.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution on April 24 fined DrinkBlu Beverage Tk30,000 for selling electrolyte drink ‘BLU’ without product packaging certificate.
On December 7, 2023, Rafsan, the owner of DrinkBlu Beverage factory, announced the launch of the electrolyte drink.
