Voting in the by-election to Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) constituency began on Wednesday morning.
The balloting began at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm without any break.
The Gaibandha-1 constituency is comprised of 15 unions and one municipality of Sundarganj upazila.
A total of 333,381 voters will be able to exercise their franchise in the by-election.
The constituency fell vacant on December 31 last after ruling party MP Liton was shot to death at his village home at Masterpara in Bamandanga union of Sundarganj.
