Law enforcers barred visitors from entering BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office this evening.

Meanwhile, police detained Selina Sultana Nishita, a joint secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP, in front of the office.

Nishita took the family members of JCD leader Nuruzzaman Jonny, who was killed in “crossfire” with detectives in Dhaka on January 19, to meet the BNP chief.

They waited for around an hour in front of the office entrance but police did not allow them to enter.

“All of them were taken to Gulshan Police Station. All of them except Nishita were released later,” Shamsuddin Dider, a media wing staff of the BNP chief, told The Daily Star.

Meanwhile, a group of pro-BNP journalists led by Ruhul Amin Gazi went to meet Khaleda around 8:00pm but the law enforcers did not give them entry to the office.
