At least two persons died and 35 others were injured in an explosion at the National Fan Factory in Tongi on Tuesday.
The explosion occurred in the heating chamber inside the factory at around 11am on Tuesday, said Md Ashikur Rahman, an officer at the Tongi Fire Service Station.
The victims were taken to the Shahid Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital and yet to be identified.
At least 35 persons have been brought to the hospital and two of them died, said Rayeya Binte Reaz, a physician in the hospital.
“At least 10 victims have been admitted to the hospital and we have referred eight others to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”
