Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has said Bhola will soon be turned into a special economic zone.
Tofail, also the MP of Bhola 1, said: “Bhelumia and Bheduria will be turned into economic zones and a lot of investors will invest here.”
The minister made this statement while inaugurating the rural electricity line in Bhelumia on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “Gas and electricity is present in Bhola. Many industries will be set up here.
“The work of setting up a 225MW power plant in Bhola is almost complete,” he added.
The minister also said a fertiliser factory will be built for the farmers in the district.
