Saraswati pooja, the worship of the goddess of knowledge, has been observed in Dhaka University in peak enthusiasm and devotion on Tuesday.

Almost all the departments of the university came up with their own idol of the Swaraswati with unique splendour and presentation to their own discipline.
The Faculty of Fine Arts take the centre stage of attraction usually at the middle of the pond located at Jagannath hall. This year too, a majestic earthen-looking deity stood, floating in the petal of lotus.
Department of pharmacy had the Saraswati sitting on a fountain with aqua flora and fauna around her.
The Swaraswati of computer science department sat with laptop, adhering to which, was the deity of of political science department, golden-adorn.
The pavilion of department of IIT had the Swaraswati exposed in the screen of a mobile phone with other applications visible on its “screen.”
The deity of Bangla Bidya Sammilonee called for awareness on climatic change and against global warming.
The department of management adorned their deity with palm leaves, while zoology addressed biodiversity with a peacock spreading his tail in the background.
The deity of botany emerged from sunflower, sociology’s Swaraswati smiled with suns, signifying the society’s hope of well-being with knowledge and wisdom.
The festival protested the recent attack on minority communities and a peaceful coexistence of all religions was called for.
