Teachers observe work abstention at SUST

Teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) under the banner of ‘Mohan Muktijuddher Chetonay Udbhuddo Sikkhak Forum’ have observed work abstention, demanding removal of Vice-Chancellor Professor Aminul Haque Bhuiyan.

The protesting teachers staged rally and meeting wearing black badges defying rain on the university campus on Monday.

Speakers at the rally alleged that the vice-chancellor instigated Chhatra League activists against them in a bid to cling to his position.

Terming the vice-chancellor ineligible, they asked him to leave the university campus by the day.
