The jail authorities here have cancelled the division facility of BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury as the International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Tuesday condemned him to death for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
SQ Chowdhury was sent to Kashimpur Jail from Dhaka Central Jail around 9pm on Tuesday after the pronouncement of the verdict. The jail authorities then put him in a general cell canceling his division, according to sources at the jail.
Earlier, SQ Chowdhury had enjoyed the division facility in jail as a lawmaker.
